Welcome to the Mid-West Figure Skating Council website!

The purpose of the Council shall be:

A.        To improve, encourage, and advance figure skating for the community served by the Council and cultivate a spirit of fraternal feeling among the ice skating clubs within the Council.

B.        To provide a forum for the exchange of information among its Member Clubs for their mutual benefit.

C.        To provide a means for cooperative activities which will further the objectives of the Council. Such cooperative activities may include, but are not limited to, the holding of competitions, tests, exhibitions, judge's schools, and other figure skating activities and the publication and dissemination of information concerning figure skating by all appropriate means. The Council has no authority or power to interfere with the rights of its members as Member Clubs of United States Figure Skating, herein referred to as the USFS.

The Mid-West Figure Skating Council Presents~
Mid-West Figure Skating Council Championship Series:  Heartland Figure Skating Club, Kansas City Figure Skating Club, Line Creek Figure Skating Club, Silver Blades Figure Skating Club, St. Joseph Figure Skating Club and Wichita Figure Skating Club are members of the Mid-West Figure Skating Council (MWFSC) and are participating in the Mid-West Council Championship Series (MWCCS).  Points will be awarded for Beginner through Adult level events in Freeskate, Dance, Light Entertainment, Dramatic Entertainment, Jumps, Spins and Compulsory.  Additionally, it is important to note that the required elements for these events will be the same in all the competitions participating in the Championship Series.  At this time those competitions are Skate KC, Heart of America, Wichita Mid-Continent, Pony Express, Line Creek Fall Fling and Heartland Basic Skills Competition.
Skaters competing in this Series will receive points for placement in each of the above events at the recognized competitions.  At the end of the season, the top point skaters will receive awards from MWFSC and the club with the most skater accumulated points will receive the Traveling Championship Trophy for that year.
There is an annual $5 registration fee to enter the Championship Series, which can be paid at the first competition the skater enters or by registering on the Council website at MWFSC.org.
